| Doctor's Statement |
I am in solo practice and have a Certified Physician Assistant working with me to provide the best care for our patients. I have enjoyed being an independent practitioner, which allows me to make my own decisions, to be flexible in my own style of practice, to be able to respond to the needs of my patients and to refer my patients to specialists, if necesary, who are capable of helping them with their problems. My style of practice is to take a complete history by asking a lot of questions, perform a physical examination and discuss what appropriate tests are necessary to diagnose the problem and what options are available for treatment. Other family members may also be involved with the final plan of care.
Although I have stopped delivering babies, I still enjoy providing care for children of all ages. As I age along with my patients, I have become specialized in caring for the older population. I am the Medical Director at both nursing homes in Watertown. I enjoy the interactions with the entire family, as I have with my own family. I feel that there has to be good communication between myself and my patients, as well as between physicians who are caring for the same patients. |
